At Lakeside Exteriors, we stand behind the quality of our work and the products we install for homeowners across Minnesota. This page provides a general overview of our workmanship warranty and the manufacturers’ product warranties.

Our Workmanship Warranty

Lakeside Exteriors provides a written workmanship warranty on all qualifying residential exterior projects, including:

Our workmanship warranty covers defects arising from our installation labor and non‑conforming materials for a minimum of five (5) years from the date your project is completed, in accordance with applicable Minnesota home‑improvement warranty standards.

During this warranty period, if an issue arises that is determined to be the result of defective workmanship by Lakeside Exteriors, we will repair or, at our discretion, replace the affected work.

What our workmanship warranty typically does not cover:

  • Damage caused by storms, hail, wind, or other weather events

  • Damage from improper maintenance, misuse, or alteration by others

  • Normal wear and tear or aging of materials

  • Issues related solely to manufacturer product defects (covered by manufacturer warranties)
     

For complete details, including limitations and exclusions, please refer to your written contract and warranty documents provided at the time of installation.

Manufacturer Product Warranties

In addition to our workmanship warranty, your project is also protected by the original manufacturers’ warranties on the products we install. These warranties are issued and backed by the manufacturers, not Lakeside Exteriors, and typically cover manufacturing defects under normal use and conditions.

Depending on the specific products and brands selected for your project, manufacturer warranties may include:

  • Roofing materials warranties, often ranging from 20 years to “lifetime” coverage against manufacturing defects (sometimes with prorated coverage over time).

  • Siding warranties, commonly providing long‑term protection against manufacturing defects such as cracking, warping, and excessive fading.

  • Window and door warranties, which may provide multi‑year or “lifetime” coverage on frames and insulated glass units, with separate terms for hardware, finishes, or glass breakage.
     

Exact warranty length, coverage, and transferability vary by manufacturer and product line. You will receive the applicable manufacturer warranty documents for the specific products installed on your home.
